There aren’t many phones specifically designed to withstand extreme conditions. Phones are made of better and more durable material but they are just as delicate is ever. For some a phone made to last may be a little excessive but for anyone who lives a very active lifestyle might need a phone that is very durable. The Casio Exilim C721 is a phone built to last. Casio is known for its digital cameras. The G’zOne series of phones were released by Casio as well. The G’zOne phones were military tested and are extremely rugged. For its next addition to the cell phone world Casio combined the ruggedness of the G’zOne series of phones with their digital cameras, thus creating the Casio Exilim C721. This phone features a camera that takes photos, a durable casing, and even web browsing.
The Casio Exilim C721 has a better look and design than its predecessors. While the G’zOne series were phones built to last their physical appearance took a back seat and it was designed purely to be a sturdy phone. But the Exilim has an improved look and is more appealing than the previous phones. It is slim and wide. The Exilim is military tested and passes the MIL-STD 810F code. The phone is functional even while being submerged in water and can withstand exposure to rain, salt, extreme humidity, dust, and even solar radiation and still be completely functional. Surprisingly enough one can even take photos while the phone is completely submerged in water.
The Exilim has an amazing 5.1 megapixel camera. It takes amazing photos. The photo quality rivals that of some digital cameras. The unique design of the phone allows one to take photos in the same manner they would on a digital camera. The flip screen can be turned completely around and flipped back down again to act as a view finder (just like all digital cameras). There are 7 different resolution settings and numerous amounts of image control options. They are a 16x digital zoom, auto focus, image stabilizer, and many more. One of the more noteworthy features are the presets which allow a person to quickly change the phones settings to take the best possible photos under any condition. The modes include Night View, Person, Food, Party, and numerous others. The camera can also record video. They video quality is quite good compared to the video captured by other cameras phones.
Also available on the Exilim is a full HTML web browser. The web browser worked quite well and websites appeared clear on the screen. The screen on the phone is rather small but one is able to zoom in and out during web browsing for a better view of the websites. Full HTML web browsing is usually reserved for phones with bigger screens.
The Casio Exilim C721 has many features. With its numerous capabilities the Exilim the phone is a more expensive than many phones on the market. But most of the things featured on this phone cant be found on any other device.
